The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) recorded 99 regencies/cities with weekly tracing rates above the national average, currently recorded at 2.49 percent as of Wednesday, August 3, 2022.
The top five regencies/cities with rates exceeding 25.67 percent are Ciamis, Surabaya City, Sibolga City, Semarang City, and Metro City, with values of 50 percent, 30.5 percent, 30 percent, 27.07 percent, and 25.67 percent respectively.
A recapitulation of national Covid-19 data from the Ministry of Health shows that tracing in most regencies/cities outside Java has decreased. A daily increase in tracing was recorded in 15 regencies/cities, while 27 regencies/cities recorded lower tracing rates.
Areas outside Java with the highest tracing rates include Sibolga City, Metro City, and Kendari City, with tracing rates of 30 percent, 25.67 percent, and 20 percent respectively.
Although Covid-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce Covid-19 transmission by consistently wearing masks, maintaining physical distancing, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
