The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) notes that at least one regency/city has a Bed Occupancy Ratio (BOR) above 60%. Nationally, the average BOR this week is 2.86 percent. This is an increase compared to last week's figure of 1.74 percent, based on data from Monday, August 1, 2022.
The top five regencies/cities with the highest COVID-19 BOR, exceeding 31.31 percent, are Fakfak, Banjarbaru City, East Manggarai, Bangli, and West Jakarta City, with respective values of 100 percent, 43.66 percent, 37.5 percent, 34.19 percent, and 31.31 percent.
A national COVID-19 data recapitulation from the Ministry of Health shows an increase in the BOR in most regencies/cities outside Java. A daily BOR higher than the previous day was recorded in 53 regencies/cities, while 38 regencies/cities recorded a lower BOR.
Areas outside Java with the highest BOR include Fakfak, Banjarbaru City, and East Manggarai, with BORs of 100 percent, 43.66 percent, and 37.5 percent, respectively.
Although COVID-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce COVID-19 transmission by consistently wearing masks, maintaining physical distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
