The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) recorded 143 regencies/cities with a seven-day aglomeration positivity rate above the national average, currently recorded at one percent, as of Monday, February 6, 2023.
The top five regencies/cities with a seven-day positivity rate exceeding 9.26 percent are Melawi, Musi Rawas Utara, Toli Toli, Soppeng, and Banjarnegara, with values of 20 percent, 13.33 percent, 12.9 percent, 9.38 percent, and 9.26 percent, respectively.
A recapitulation of national Covid-19 data from the Ministry of Health shows that the seven-day positivity rate in most regencies/cities outside Java has decreased. A daily seven-day positivity rate higher than the previous day was recorded in 25 regencies/cities, while 93 regencies/cities recorded a lower seven-day positivity rate.
Areas outside Java with the highest seven-day positivity rates include Melawi, Musi Rawas Utara, and Toli Toli, with seven-day positivity rates of 20 percent, 13.33 percent, and 12.9 percent, respectively.
Although Covid-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce Covid-19 transmission by consistently wearing masks, maintaining physical distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
