Active Covid-19 cases in Indonesia were recorded at 6,311 as of Tuesday, January 11, 2022. This number places Indonesia sixth in Southeast Asia.
Indonesia is flanked by Malaysia and Singapore, with 39,742 and 6,165 active cases respectively.
Meanwhile, Vietnam holds the top spot for the highest number of active Covid-19 cases in Southeast Asia with 365,008. The Philippines is second with 157,526 active Covid-19 cases.
Laos is in third place, recording 111,413 active Covid-19 cases. This is followed by Thailand with 58,159 active corona cases.
Myanmar has 2,597 active Covid-19 cases. Meanwhile, active Covid-19 infection cases in Cambodia, Brunei Darussalam, and Timor Leste are 598, 216, and 23 respectively.
Although the number of active cases in Indonesia has decreased, the public must remain vigilant against the spread of the virus. The public must continue to strive to prevent the spread of corona by implementing the 3M health protocols.
Health protocols can be implemented by wearing masks, maintaining distance, and washing hands with soap. In addition, the public is urged to reduce mobility and avoid crowds.
