The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) recorded 73 regencies/cities with a weekly agglomeration of confirmed positive COVID-19 cases above the national average, currently recorded at 1.38 per 100,000 population/week, data as of Friday, July 1, 2022.
The top five regencies/cities with confirmed positive cases exceeding 27.08 per 100,000 population/week are Tangerang City, Bogor City, Depok City, East Jakarta City, and North Jakarta City, each with a value of 27.08 per 100,000 population/week.
National COVID-19 data recapitulation from the Ministry of Health shows an increase in confirmed positive cases in most regencies/cities outside Java. A daily increase in confirmed positive cases higher than before was recorded in 36 regencies/cities, while 20 regencies/cities recorded lower confirmed positive cases.
Areas outside Java with the highest confirmed positive case rates include Teluk Bintuni, Tabanan, and Jembrana, with confirmed positive cases of 15.91 per 100,000 population/week, 8.56 per 100,000 population/week, and 8.56 per 100,000 population/week, respectively.
Although COVID-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce COVID-19 transmission by always wearing masks, maintaining distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
