The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) recorded that 317 regencies/cities have complete vaccination coverage based on ID cards above the national average, which is currently recorded at 73.75 percent as of Saturday, July 9, 2022.
The top five regencies/cities with complete vaccination rates exceeding 106.7 percent are Samosir (130.64 percent), Humbang Hasundutan (112.62 percent), West Nias (110.05 percent), Surakarta City (106.8 percent), and Karangasem (106.7 percent).
A national Covid-19 data recapitulation from the Ministry of Health shows an increase in complete vaccination rates in most regencies/cities outside Java. A daily increase in complete vaccination rates compared to the previous day was recorded in 369 regencies/cities, while one regency/city recorded a lower complete vaccination rate.
Some of the areas outside Java with the highest complete vaccination rates include Samosir (130.64 percent), Humbang Hasundutan (112.62 percent), and West Nias (110.05 percent).
Although Covid-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce Covid-19 transmission by always wearing masks, maintaining distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
