The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) recorded 137 districts/cities with a seven-day aglomeration positivity rate above the national average, currently recorded at 1.46 percent (data as of Tuesday, January 24, 2023).
The top five districts/cities with a seven-day positivity rate exceeding 20 percent are Deiyai (50 percent), Toli Toli (30.43 percent), Aceh Barat Daya (25 percent), Parigi Moutong (23.81 percent), and Bolaang Mongondow (20 percent).
A recapitulation of national Covid-19 data from the Ministry of Health shows an increase in the seven-day positivity rate in most districts/cities outside Java. 98 districts/cities recorded a higher seven-day positivity rate than previously, while 54 districts/cities recorded a lower seven-day positivity rate.
Some of the areas outside Java with the highest seven-day positivity rates include Deiyai (50 percent), Toli Toli (30.43 percent), and Aceh Barat Daya (25 percent).
Although Covid-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce Covid-19 transmission by consistently wearing masks, maintaining physical distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
