The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) recorded 33 regencies/cities with weekly hospital inpatient use above the national average, currently recorded at 0.9 patients per 100,000 population/week (data as of Thursday, July 7, 2022).
The five regencies/cities with the highest inpatient use, exceeding 4.1 patients per 100,000 population/week, are Central Jakarta, South Jakarta, West Jakarta, North Jakarta, and Magelang City, with respective values of 8.65 patients per 100,000 population/week, 6.45 patients per 100,000 population/week, 5.07 patients per 100,000 population/week, 4.16 patients per 100,000 population/week, and 4.1 patients per 100,000 population/week, respectively.
National Covid-19 data recapitulation from the Ministry of Health shows an increase in inpatient use in most regencies/cities outside Java. Fifteen regencies/cities recorded higher daily inpatient use than before, while six regencies/cities recorded lower inpatient use.
Areas outside Java with the highest inpatient use include Denpasar City, Palangkaraya City, and Banjar, with inpatient use of 3.54 patients per 100,000 population/week, 3.38 patients per 100,000 population/week, and 3.33 patients per 100,000 population/week, respectively.
Although Covid-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce Covid-19 transmission by consistently wearing masks, maintaining distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
