The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) recorded 161 districts/cities with a weekly agglomeration of confirmed positive Covid-19 cases above the national average, currently recorded at 2.86 per 100,000 population/week (data as of Monday, October 24, 2022).
The top five districts/cities with confirmed positive cases exceeding 16.24 per 100,000 population/week are Balikpapan City, Kupang City, Belu Regency, Kepulauan Seribu Islands, and Central Jakarta City, with respective values of 27.09, 19.16, 19.15, 16.24, and 16.24 per 100,000 population/week.
A national Covid-19 data recapitulation from the Ministry of Health shows an increase in confirmed positive cases in most districts/cities outside Java. An increase in daily confirmed positive cases compared to previous figures was recorded in 94 districts/cities, while 41 districts/cities recorded lower confirmed positive cases.
Areas outside Java with the highest confirmed positive case rates include Balikpapan City, Kupang City, and Belu Regency, with confirmed positive cases of 27.09, 19.16, and 19.15 per 100,000 population/week, respectively.
Although Covid-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce Covid-19 transmission by consistently wearing masks, maintaining physical distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
