Top 10 Regencies/Cities with the Highest National Inpatient Utilization (Wednesday, December 14, 2022)

The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) recorded 75 regencies/cities with weekly hospital inpatient use above the national average, currently recorded at 1.46 patients per 100,000 population/week, data as of Wednesday, December 14, 2022.

The five regencies/cities with the highest inpatient use, exceeding 7.54 patients per 100,000 population/week, are Magelang City, Mojokerto City, Kediri City, Central Jakarta City, and Sukabumi City, with respective values of 9.02, 8.33, 7.85, 7.66, and 7.54 patients per 100,000 population/week.

National Covid-19 data recapitulation from the Ministry of Health shows that inpatient use in most regencies/cities outside Java has decreased. A higher than previous daily inpatient use was recorded in 26 regencies/cities, while 33 regencies/cities recorded lower inpatient use.

Areas outside Java with the highest inpatient use include Belitung, Kutai Barat, and Mimika, with inpatient use of 6.25, 4.64, and 4.51 patients per 100,000 population/week, respectively.

Although Covid-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce Covid-19 transmission by consistently wearing masks, maintaining physical distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
