The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) recorded 33 regencies/cities with weekly hospital inpatient use above the national average, currently recorded at 0.39 patients per 100,000 population/week, data as of Sunday, January 29, 2023.
The five regencies/cities with the highest inpatient use, exceeding 1.32 patients per 100,000 population/week, are Blitar City, Palangkaraya City, Central Jakarta City, Magelang City, and Yogyakarta City, with respective values of 2.75 patients per 100,000 population/week, 2 patients per 100,000 population/week, 1.75 patients per 100,000 population/week, 1.64 patients per 100,000 population/week, and 1.32 patients per 100,000 population/week, respectively.
A national Covid data recapitulation from the Ministry of Health shows an increase in inpatient use in most regencies/cities outside Java. Seven regencies/cities recorded higher daily inpatient use than before, while three regencies/cities recorded lower inpatient use.
Areas outside Java with the highest inpatient use include Palangkaraya City, Palu City, and Kupang City, with inpatient use of 2 patients per 100,000 population/week, 0.98 patients per 100,000 population/week, and 0.83 patients per 100,000 population/week, respectively.
Although Covid-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce Covid-19 transmission by consistently wearing masks, maintaining physical distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
