Top 10 Provinces with the Highest Covid-19 Death Toll Today (Wednesday, October 13, 2021)

The Indonesian government reported 48 additional Covid-19 deaths today, Wednesday, October 13, 2021. With today's increase, the total number of deaths due to the coronavirus pandemic reaches 142,811.

The highest number of Covid-19 deaths today occurred in Central Java, reaching 9. This is followed by East Java with 6 additional deaths due to the coronavirus, and East Kalimantan with 5 Covid-19 deaths.

Four Covid-19 deaths were reported in Aceh. Three deaths due to Covid-19 were also reported in Lampung.

Two deaths due to coronavirus infection were reported in Riau, South Sumatra, Bangka Belitung, Yogyakarta Special Region, and Banten. In total, these 10 provinces reported 37 coronavirus deaths.

The government also reported 1,233 additional confirmed coronavirus cases today. Jakarta recorded the highest number of new confirmed cases, reaching 278. This is followed by East Java with 121 confirmed coronavirus cases and Central Java with 116 confirmed coronavirus cases. With today's increase, the total number of confirmed coronavirus cases reaches 4,231,046.

According to the Ministry of Health's data, 2,259 Covid-19 patients were declared recovered today. Central Java recorded the highest number of recovered Covid-19 patients, with 626. This is followed by West Java with 224 additional recovered cases and Jakarta with 203 recovered coronavirus patients. With today's increase, the total number of recovered Covid-19 patients reaches 4,067,684 during the coronavirus pandemic.
