The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) recorded 49 regencies/cities with a Covid-19 death rate above the national average, currently recorded at 0.03 per 100,000 population per week, as of Saturday, July 30, 2022.
The five regencies/cities with the highest Covid-19 death rates, exceeding 0.71 per 100,000 population per week, are Gorontalo Utara, Bangli, Samosir, Banjarbaru City, and Mamuju Tengah, with rates of 0.89, 0.87, 0.79, 0.71, and 0.71 per 100,000 population per week, respectively.
The national Covid-19 data recapitulation from the Ministry of Health shows an increase in Covid-19 deaths in most regencies/cities outside Java. Four regencies/cities recorded higher daily Covid-19 death tolls than previously, while three regencies/cities recorded lower numbers.
Areas outside Java with the highest Covid-19 death rates include Gorontalo Utara, Bangli, and Samosir, with rates of 0.89, 0.87, and 0.79 per 100,000 population per week, respectively.
Although Covid-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce transmission by consistently wearing masks, maintaining physical distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to curbing the spread of the coronavirus.
