The number of Argentinian tourists visiting Indonesia has gradually improved since the Covid-19 pandemic. However, the numbers have not yet reached pre-pandemic levels.
Data from the Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS), processed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Kemenlu), shows that in 2019, there were 9,994 Argentinian tourist visits.
This number decreased to 3,066 visits the following year. In 2021, visits plummeted to only 114.
In 2022, with Covid-19 relatively under control, visits increased significantly to 3,446. However, this figure still falls short of the 2019 pre-pandemic numbers.

The Indonesian government offers Argentinian citizens a 30-day Visa on Arrival for tourism, government visits, business meetings, shopping, and transit. This aims to facilitate and attract more Argentinian tourists to Indonesia.
Meanwhile, the Argentinian government still requires Indonesian citizens to obtain a visa. However, based on Argentinian Government Resolution No. 33/2019 of February 12, 2019, Indonesia is included as a country eligible for an Electronic Travel Authorization.
This resolution stipulates that Indonesian citizens holding a US visa are granted an Electronic Travel Authorization for a 90-day stay.
