Top 10 Regencies/Cities with the Highest National Inpatient Utilization (Friday, October 28, 2022)

The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) recorded 100 districts/cities with weekly inpatient utilization above the national average, currently recorded at 1.94 patients per 100,000 population/week, data as of Friday, October 28, 2022.

The five districts/cities with the highest inpatient utilization, exceeding 9.28 patients per 100,000 population/week, are Kediri City, Toli Toli, Palu City, Tegal City, and Banda Aceh City, with respective values of 19.46 patients per 100,000 population/week, 12.05 patients per 100,000 population/week, 10.12 patients per 100,000 population/week, 9.99 patients per 100,000 population/week, and 9.28 patients per 100,000 population/week, respectively.

A recapitulation of national Covid-19 data from the Ministry of Health shows an increase in inpatient utilization in most districts/cities outside Java. Daily inpatient utilization higher than before was recorded in 46 districts/cities, while 33 districts/cities recorded lower inpatient utilization.

Areas outside Java with the highest inpatient utilization include Toli Toli, Palu City, and Banda Aceh City, with inpatient utilization rates of 12.05 patients per 100,000 population/week, 10.12 patients per 100,000 population/week, and 9.28 patients per 100,000 population/week, respectively.

Although Covid-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce Covid-19 transmission by consistently wearing masks, maintaining physical distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
