The average expenditure of people in Tanjung Pinang City to buy unfiltered kretek cigarettes in 2023 was Rp536.46 per capita per week. This figure surged compared to the previous year's expenditure, which was recorded at Rp303.45 per capita per week.

The five largest expenditures of residents for cigarettes and tobacco in Tanjung Pinang City, from highest to lowest, were spent on filtered kretek cigarettes (Rp10,080 per capita per week), white cigarettes (Rp3,406.02 per capita per week), unfiltered kretek cigarettes (Rp536.46 per capita per week), other cigarettes and tobacco (Rp98.56 per capita per week), and the lowest expenditure was on tobacco (Rp14.08 per capita per week).
