The five regencies/cities with the highest Covid-19 death rates, exceeding 0.3 per 100,000 population per week, are Tegal City, Tojo Una Una, Mamasa, Pematangsiantar City, and Buleleng, with respective rates of 1.2, 0.63, 0.61, 0.38, and 0.3 per 100,000 population per week.
National Covid-19 data from the Ministry of Health shows an increase in Covid-19 deaths in most regencies/cities outside Java. Three regencies/cities recorded higher daily Covid-19 death tolls than previously, while one regency/city recorded a lower number.
Areas outside Java with the highest Covid-19 death rates include Tojo Una Una, Mamasa, and Pematangsiantar City, with respective rates of 0.63, 0.61, and 0.38 deaths per 100,000 population per week.
Although Covid-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to reduce transmission by consistently wearing masks, maintaining physical distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
