The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) recorded 178 districts/cities with a seven-day positivity rate above the national average, currently recorded at 5.08 percent (data as of Thursday, September 8, 2022).
The top five districts/cities with a seven-day positivity rate exceeding 30 percent are Tomohon City, Banggai Islands Regency, Barito Timur Regency, Tegal City, and Mentawai Islands Regency, with values of 35.44 percent, 30.77 percent, 30.77 percent, 30.39 percent, and 30 percent respectively.
A recapitulation of national Covid-19 data from the Ministry of Health shows an increase in the seven-day positivity rate in most districts/cities outside of Java. A higher seven-day positivity rate compared to the previous day was recorded in 154 districts/cities, while 122 districts/cities recorded a lower seven-day positivity rate.
Some of the areas outside Java with the highest seven-day positivity rates include Tomohon City, Banggai Islands Regency, and Barito Timur Regency, with seven-day positivity rates of 35.44 percent, 30.77 percent, and 30.77 percent respectively.
Although Covid-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce Covid-19 transmission by consistently wearing masks, maintaining physical distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
