Half of Singapore's Population Has Received Full Vaccination, What About Indonesia?

As of July 24, 2021, 50.65% of Singapore's population had received the full vaccination (two doses) of the Covid-19 vaccine. In contrast, only 6.39% of Indonesia's population had received the full vaccination.

Our World In Data reports that Singapore remains at the top in Southeast Asia as the country with the highest ratio of fully vaccinated population. Meanwhile, Indonesia's vaccination achievement remains in fifth place.

Cambodia is in second place with a full Covid-19 vaccination ratio of 26.10%. This is followed by Malaysia and Laos with ratios of 16.68% and 9.22% respectively.

After Indonesia, Thailand follows with a vaccination ratio of 5.20%. Brunei Darussalam and the Philippines follow with 5.10% and 5.07% respectively. Timor Leste and Vietnam have vaccination ratios of 3.29% and 0.38% respectively.

As of July 25, 2021, the total number of vaccinations in Indonesia reached 62.37 million people. This includes 44.46 million first doses and 17.90 million second doses.

Even though the Covid-19 vaccination program is underway, the public still needs to wear masks, maintain social distancing, avoid crowds, and wash their hands with soap (3M). These health protocols can prevent the widespread transmission of the coronavirus in Indonesia.
