The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) recorded 188 districts/cities with a seven-day aglomeration positivity rate above the national average, currently recorded at 4.98 percent (data as of Monday, September 12, 2022).
The top five districts/cities with a seven-day positivity rate exceeding 30 percent are Banggai Kepulauan, Tomohon City, Nagan Raya, Mentawai Islands, and Barito Timur, with values of 46.67 percent, 34.09 percent, 33.33 percent, 33.33 percent, and 30 percent respectively.
A recapitulation of national Covid-19 data from the Ministry of Health shows an increase in the seven-day positivity rate in most districts/cities outside Java. A higher seven-day positivity rate compared to the previous period was recorded in 142 districts/cities, while 120 districts/cities recorded a lower seven-day positivity rate.
Some of the areas outside Java with the highest seven-day positivity rates include Banggai Kepulauan, Tomohon City, and Nagan Raya, with seven-day positivity rates of 46.67 percent, 34.09 percent, and 33.33 percent respectively.
Although Covid-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce Covid-19 transmission by consistently wearing masks, maintaining physical distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
