Weekly Expenditure of Blitar City Residents on Meat Purchases

In 2023, the per capita weekly expenditure on beef in Blitar City was Rp905.12. This represents a decrease compared to the previous year's expenditure of Rp1,736.15 per capita per week.

The five largest expenditures on meat groups in Blitar City, ranked from highest to lowest, were: broiler chicken at Rp2,957.88 per capita per week; beef at Rp905.12 per capita per week; other preserved meat at Rp677.74 per capita per week; free-range chicken at Rp290.58 per capita per week; and other fresh meat at Rp3.34 per capita per week (the lowest).

Per capita expenditure is the cost incurred for the consumption of all household members over a month, including purchases, gifts, and self-produced goods, divided by the number of household members. Household consumption is categorized into food and non-food consumption, regardless of the origin of the goods, and is limited to household needs only, excluding consumption/expenditure for business purposes or given to others.

Expenditure on food consumption is calculated weekly, while non-food consumption is calculated monthly and for the past 12 months. Both food and non-food consumption are then converted into average monthly expenditure.
