Indonesia's Active Covid-19 Cases Fourth Lowest in Southeast Asia

Active Covid-19 cases in Indonesia were recorded at 16,376 as of Wednesday, October 20, 2021. This number is equivalent to 0.38% of the total corona cases in the country.

Based on Worldometer data, the number of active corona cases in Indonesia ranks fourth lowest in Southeast Asia. Indonesia's position is flanked by Laos and Cambodia with active cases of 27,001 and 2,818 respectively.

Malaysia holds the top position in Southeast Asia with 81,955 active corona cases. The Philippines is in second place with 67,061 active corona cases.

There are 55,902 active Covid-19 cases in Vietnam. Meanwhile, active corona cases in Myanmar and Singapore are 28,738 and 28,037 respectively.

Below Cambodia is Brunei Darussalam with 2,689 active corona cases. Meanwhile, active corona cases in Timor Leste number 86.

Although the number of active cases in Indonesia has decreased, the public must not be complacent about the transmission of the virus. The public must continue to strive to prevent the spread of corona by implementing the 3M health protocol.

This protocol consists of wearing a mask, maintaining distance, and washing hands with soap. In addition, the public is urged to reduce mobility and avoid crowds.
