The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) recorded 89 regencies/cities with weekly hospital inpatient use above the national average, currently recorded at 3.18 patients per 100,000 population/week, data as of Thursday, November 17, 2022.
The five top regencies/cities with inpatient use exceeding 17.31 patients per 100,000 population/week are Central Jakarta, Yogyakarta City, Kediri City, Mojokerto City, and Surakarta City, with respective values of 26.05 patients per 100,000 population/week, 24.01 patients per 100,000 population/week, 22.53 patients per 100,000 population/week, 20.45 patients per 100,000 population/week, and 17.31 patients per 100,000 population/week.
The national Covid-19 data recapitulation from the Ministry of Health shows that inpatient use in most regencies/cities outside Java has decreased. A higher than previous daily inpatient use was recorded in 46 regencies/cities, while 50 regencies/cities recorded lower inpatient use.
Some of the areas outside Java with the highest inpatient use include Kutai Barat, Klungkung, and Tana Tidung, with respective inpatient use of 15.91 patients per 100,000 population/week, 14.88 patients per 100,000 population/week, and 13.02 patients per 100,000 population/week.
Although Covid-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce Covid-19 transmission by always wearing masks, maintaining distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
