The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) recorded 82 regencies/cities with weekly inpatient utilization above the national average, currently recorded at 1.31 patients per 100,000 population/week, data as of Tuesday, October 11, 2022.
The five regencies/cities with the highest inpatient utilization, exceeding 6.07 patients per 100,000 population/week, are Kediri City, Tomohon City, Palu City, Magelang City, and Banda Aceh City, with respective values of 9.9 patients per 100,000 population/week, 8.15 patients per 100,000 population/week, 7.65 patients per 100,000 population/week, 6.56 patients per 100,000 population/week, and 6.07 patients per 100,000 population/week, respectively.
National Covid-19 data recapitulation from the Ministry of Health shows that inpatient utilization in most regencies/cities outside Java has decreased. A higher than previous daily inpatient utilization was recorded in 18 regencies/cities, while 37 regencies/cities recorded lower inpatient utilization.
Areas outside Java with the highest inpatient utilization include Tomohon City, Palu City, and Banda Aceh City, with inpatient utilization rates of 8.15 patients per 100,000 population/week, 7.65 patients per 100,000 population/week, and 6.07 patients per 100,000 population/week, respectively.
Although Covid-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce Covid-19 transmission by consistently wearing masks, maintaining physical distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
