The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) recorded 33 regencies/cities with a Covid-19 death rate above the national average, currently recorded at 0.01 per 100,000 population per week, as of Tuesday, July 19, 2022.
The five regencies/cities with the highest number of Covid-19 deaths, exceeding 0.4 per 100,000 population per week, are Bangli (0.87 per 100,000 population per week), Tabanan (0.44 per 100,000 population per week), Singkawang City (0.43 per 100,000 population per week), North Hulu Sungai (0.42 per 100,000 population per week), and Tegal City (0.4 per 100,000 population per week).
A national Covid-19 data recapitulation from the Ministry of Health shows an increase in Covid-19 deaths in most regencies/cities outside Java. Three regencies/cities recorded higher daily Covid-19 death tolls than previously, while one regency/city recorded a lower number.
Areas outside Java with the highest Covid-19 death rates include Bangli (0.87 per 100,000 population per week), Tabanan (0.44 per 100,000 population per week), and Singkawang City (0.43 per 100,000 population per week).
Although Covid-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce transmission by consistently wearing masks, maintaining physical distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
