The Jakarta Provincial Government reported that 3,129 Neighborhood Units (RTs) were classified as high-risk zones for the Covid-19 coronavirus in Jakarta during the period of November 7-13, 2022.
The details are as follows: 7 RTs were in the red zone, 49 RTs in the orange zone, and 3,073 RTs in the yellow zone. West Jakarta had the highest number of RTs in high-risk zones in the capital city, with 805 RTs. This included 3 RTs in the red zone, 22 in the orange zone, and 780 in the yellow zone.
Next, South Jakarta had 735 RTs in high-risk zones: 1 RT in the red zone, 11 in the orange zone, and 723 in the yellow zone.
North Jakarta had 614 RTs in high-risk zones, with 1 RT in the red zone, 14 in the orange zone, and 599 in the yellow zone.
East Jakarta had 531 RTs in high-risk zones, consisting of 1 RT in the red zone, 1 in the orange zone, and 529 in the yellow zone.
Central Jakarta had 444 RTs in high-risk zones: 1 RT in the red zone, 1 in the orange zone, and 442 in the yellow zone.
Meanwhile, the Thousand Islands reported no RTs in high-risk zones for Covid-19.

The high number of RTs classified as high-risk zones for Covid-19 in Jakarta warrants concern. This is because coronavirus cases are increasing amid the emergence of the new Omicron XBB variant.
Therefore, the public must remain disciplined in implementing the 3M health protocols: wearing masks, maintaining distance, and washing hands with soap. In addition, the public is urged to get booster vaccinations to prevent infection rates and deaths from Covid-19.
