The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) recorded 149 districts/cities with a seven-day aglomeration positivity rate above the national average, currently recorded at 0.96 percent (data as of Friday, July 8, 2022).
The top five districts/cities with a seven-day positivity rate of more than 7.9 percent are Magelang City, South Tangerang City, West Jakarta City, North Jakarta City, and East Jakarta City, with values of 13.79 percent, 7.9 percent, 7.9 percent, 7.9 percent, and 7.9 percent respectively.
A recapitulation of national Covid-19 data from the Ministry of Health shows an increase in the seven-day positivity rate in most districts/cities outside Java. A daily seven-day positivity rate higher than the previous day was recorded in 91 districts/cities, while 37 districts/cities recorded a lower seven-day positivity rate.
Some of the areas outside Java with the highest seven-day positivity rates include Barito Timur (7.14 percent), East Sumba (5.97 percent), and Sawahlunto City (5 percent).
Although Covid-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce Covid-19 transmission by always wearing masks, maintaining distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
