Average Schooling Duration of Maros Regency Residents Still Below National Average

The average schooling duration (RLS) of residents aged 25 and over in Maros, South Sulawesi was 8.2 years in 2025.

Based on data from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS), the RLS of residents in this area was below the South Sulawesi provincial average of 9.0 years in 2025.

Maros' resident RLS increased by 0.15 years (1.86%) compared to the previous year, which was 8.05 years. Meanwhile, over the last five years, this RLS has increased by 0.47 years (6.08%).

This RLS indicates that the average Maros resident only attended school up to the 8th grade level. However, this RLS is still below the national average RLS of 9.07 years in 2025.
