The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) recorded 109 regencies/cities with weekly inpatient utilization above the national average, currently recorded at 2.73 patients per 100,000 population/week, data as of Sunday, November 20, 2022.
The top five regencies/cities with inpatient utilization exceeding 10.6 patients per 100,000 population/week are Kediri City, Tegal City, Magelang City, Sorong City, and Cirebon City, with respective values of 19.46 patients per 100,000 population/week, 12.79 patients per 100,000 population/week, 12.3 patients per 100,000 population/week, 11.45 patients per 100,000 population/week, and 10.6 patients per 100,000 population/week.
A national Covid-19 data recapitulation from the Ministry of Health shows an increase in inpatient utilization in most regencies/cities outside Java. Daily inpatient utilization higher than previously recorded was observed in 51 regencies/cities, while 50 regencies/cities recorded lower inpatient utilization.
Areas outside Java with the highest inpatient utilization include Sorong, Palangkaraya City, and Tana Tidung, with respective inpatient utilization rates of 11.45 patients per 100,000 population/week, 10.14 patients per 100,000 population/week, and 9.76 patients per 100,000 population/week.
Although Covid-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce Covid-19 transmission by consistently wearing masks, maintaining physical distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
