Hotel Occupancy Rate in North Maluku's Star-Rated Hotels Increased by 5.26 Points in September 2021

The occupancy rate of star-rated hotels in North Maluku was 55.44% in September 2021. According to the Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS), this figure increased by 5.26 percentage points from the previous month, which was 50.18%.

Compared to the same period the previous year, the occupancy rate of star-rated hotels in September 2021 increased by 29.61 percentage points. This increase indicates that the tourism conditions in North Maluku have begun to improve.

The average length of stay for foreign guests at star-rated hotels in September 2021 was 1 day, down 1.11 days compared to the previous month, which was 2.11 days. Meanwhile, the average length of stay for domestic guests in September 2021 was 1.66 days, up 0.08 days compared to the previous month, which was 1.58 days.

The number of foreign guests who came to North Maluku and used star-rated hotel facilities was 6 people in September 2021. This figure decreased by 33.33% from the previous month, which was 9 people, and decreased by 53.85% compared to the same period last year, which was 13 people.

Meanwhile, the number of domestic guests who came to North Maluku and used star-rated hotel facilities was 8,634 people in September 2021. This figure increased by 96.85% from the previous month, which was 4,386 people. Compared to the same period last year, this figure increased by 208.69%.
