The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) recorded that 191 regencies/cities had a seven-day aglomeration positivity rate above the national average, which currently stands at 4.66 percent (data as of Saturday, September 3, 2022).
The top five regencies/cities with a seven-day positivity rate exceeding 24.4 percent are Tomohon City, Pidie Jaya, Gunung Mas, Barito Timur, and Tegal City, with values of 37.58 percent, 33.33 percent, 26.83 percent, 25.64 percent, and 24.4 percent, respectively.
A recapitulation of national Covid-19 data from the Ministry of Health shows an increase in the seven-day positivity rate in most regencies/cities outside Java. A daily seven-day positivity rate higher than the previous day was recorded in 163 regencies/cities, while 98 regencies/cities recorded a lower seven-day positivity rate.
Some of the areas outside Java with the highest seven-day positivity rates include Tomohon City, Pidie Jaya, and Gunung Mas, with seven-day positivity rates of 37.58 percent, 33.33 percent, and 26.83 percent, respectively.
Although Covid-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce Covid-19 transmission by consistently wearing masks, maintaining physical distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
