The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) recorded 29 regencies/cities with weekly hospital inpatient usage above the national average, currently recorded at 0.35 patients per 100,000 population/week (data as of Friday, March 3, 2023).
The five regencies/cities with the highest inpatient usage, exceeding 1.1 patients per 100,000 population/week, are Central Jakarta, Cimahi City, Kediri City, Bangka, and Yogyakarta City, with respective values of 1.75 patients per 100,000 population/week, 1.63 patients per 100,000 population/week, 1.36 patients per 100,000 population/week, 1.16 patients per 100,000 population/week, and 1.1 patients per 100,000 population/week.
The national Covid-19 data recapitulation from the Ministry of Health shows an increase in inpatient usage in most regencies/cities outside Java. Five regencies/cities recorded higher daily inpatient usage than before, while two regencies/cities recorded lower inpatient usage.
Some of the areas outside Java with the highest inpatient usage include Bangka, South Bangka, and Pulang Pisau, with respective inpatient usage rates of 1.16 patients per 100,000 population/week, 0.93 patients per 100,000 population/week, and 0.77 patients per 100,000 population/week.
Although Covid-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce Covid-19 transmission by consistently wearing masks, maintaining physical distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
