The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) recorded 142 districts/cities with a seven-day positivity rate above the national average, currently recorded at 1.16 percent (data as of Wednesday, July 20, 2022).
The top five districts/cities with a seven-day positivity rate exceeding 10.5 percent are North Jakarta, South Tangerang, West Jakarta, South Jakarta, and Tegal City, with respective values of 13.28 percent, 12.94 percent, 12.22 percent, 10.82 percent, and 10.5 percent.
A recapitulation of national Covid-19 data from the Ministry of Health shows that the seven-day positivity rate in most districts/cities outside Java has decreased. A daily seven-day positivity rate higher than the previous day was recorded in 82 districts/cities, while 105 districts/cities recorded a lower seven-day positivity rate.
Some of the areas outside Java with the highest seven-day positivity rates include Banjar, Karangasem, and Gianyar, with respective seven-day positivity rates of 8.24 percent, 8.19 percent, and 7.96 percent.
Although Covid-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce Covid-19 transmission by consistently wearing masks, maintaining physical distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
