The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) recorded 67 districts/cities with weekly hospital inpatient use above the national average, currently recorded at 1.3 patients per 100,000 population/week, data as of Thursday, October 6, 2022.
The five districts/cities with the highest inpatient use, with figures exceeding 5.82 patients per 100,000 population/week, are Banda Aceh City, Kediri City, Sangihe Islands, Manado City, and Toli Toli, with respective values of 8.56 patients per 100,000 population/week, 6.83 patients per 100,000 population/week, 6.8 patients per 100,000 population/week, 6.22 patients per 100,000 population/week, and 5.82 patients per 100,000 population/week, respectively.
A recapitulation of national Covid data from the Ministry of Health shows that inpatient use in most districts/cities outside Java has decreased. A daily inpatient use higher than before was recorded in 22 districts/cities, while 25 districts/cities recorded lower inpatient use.
Areas outside Java with the highest inpatient use include Banda Aceh City, Sangihe Islands, and Manado City, with respective inpatient use of 8.56 patients per 100,000 population/week, 6.8 patients per 100,000 population/week, and 6.22 patients per 100,000 population/week.
Although Covid-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce Covid-19 transmission by always wearing masks, maintaining distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
