The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) recorded 62 regencies/cities with weekly hospital inpatient use above the national average, currently recorded at 1.8 patients per 100,000 population/week, data as of Tuesday, August 30, 2022.
The five regencies/cities with the highest inpatient use, exceeding 9.06 patients per 100,000 population/week, are Magelang City, Banda Aceh City, Banjar, Central Jakarta City, and Tomohon City, with values of 13.12 patients per 100,000 population/week, 11.06 patients per 100,000 population/week, 10.81 patients per 100,000 population/week, 10.4 patients per 100,000 population/week, and 9.06 patients per 100,000 population/week, respectively.
A recapitulation of national Covid data from the Ministry of Health shows that inpatient use in most regencies/cities outside Java has decreased. A higher than previous daily inpatient use was recorded in 17 regencies/cities, while 36 regencies/cities recorded lower inpatient use.
Areas outside Java with the highest inpatient use include Banda Aceh City, Banjar, and Tomohon City, with inpatient use of 11.06 patients per 100,000 population/week, 10.81 patients per 100,000 population/week, and 9.06 patients per 100,000 population/week, respectively.
Although Covid-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce Covid-19 transmission by always wearing masks, maintaining distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
