Top 10 Regencies/Cities with the Highest National Tracing Rates (Monday, March 20, 2023)

The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) recorded 26 regencies/cities with weekly tracing rates above the national average, currently at 0.49 percent as of Monday, March 20, 2023.

The top five regencies/cities with tracing rates exceeding 18 percent are Surabaya City (30.5 percent), West Jakarta City (20.19 percent), Malang City (20 percent), East Jakarta City (19 percent), and Jambi City (18 percent).

A recapitulation of national Covid-19 data from the Ministry of Health shows that tracing in most regencies/cities outside Java has decreased. Zero regencies/cities recorded higher daily tracing rates than before, and two regencies/cities recorded lower rates.

Areas outside Java with the highest tracing rates include Jambi City (18 percent), Balikpapan City (15 percent), and Karimun (7 percent).

Although Covid-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce Covid-19 transmission by consistently wearing masks, maintaining physical distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
