Common Health Problems of the Elderly in Indonesia, Found in the 2025 CKG

According to the Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) report, as of December 31, 2025, approximately 6 million residents aged 60 and above, or elderly (lansia), have participated in the free health check-up program (CKG) in Indonesia.

This number is equivalent to 52% of the 2025 target for elderly health checks, which was initially set at 16.9 million people.

Among the elderly participants of CKG, the most commonly found health problem is high/above normal blood pressure, with 2.89 million cases.

Next are dental caries (cavities) with 1.6 million cases, vision impairment with 751.07 thousand cases, high cholesterol with 246.9 thousand cases, and diabetes with 26.3 thousand cases.

Health checks for the elderly in CKG include checking hearing and vision functions, mental health, liver, geriatric assessment, and detection of cardiovascular, pulmonary, and cancer disorders.

For general CKG participants, the free health check-up is provided on their respective birthdays and remains valid for up to 30 days thereafter.
