Calculated against the national population, this figure is equivalent to 0.76 doctors per 1,000 residents.

This ratio is still below the Ministry of Health's target of 0.8 doctors per 1,000 residents by the end of this year.

As of December 2025, West Java had the highest number of doctors, while West Papua had the fewest.
