According to the Ipsos Global Trustworthiness Index 2024, several professions are distrusted by Indonesian society.
Politicians received the highest level of distrust, with 45% of respondents expressing distrust.
Next are police officers and cabinet/ministry officials, each with a 41% distrust rate.

4. Social media influencers: 25%
5. Lawyers: 24%
6. Government employees/civil servants: 24%
7. Judges: 23%
8. Advertising executives: 18%
9. Business leaders: 17%
10. Armed forces/military personnel: 15%
11. Journalists: 15%
Ipsos also revealed the professions most trusted by Indonesian society. Teachers rank highest with a 74% trust rate, followed by doctors at 73% and scientists at 70%.
The Ipsos survey involved 23,530 respondents under 75 years old across 35 countries. Data collection was conducted online from May 24 to June 7, 2024. Specifically in Indonesia, 500 respondents aged 21-74 participated.
