Top 10 Market Capitalization Emitents in Indonesia, August 2024

The Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) has compiled a list of issuers with the largest market capitalization in August 2024.

The list reveals at least 10 issuers with a market capitalization ranging from Rp205 trillion to Rp1,440 trillion.

PT Barito Renewables Energy Tbk (BREN) emerged as the issuer with the largest market capitalization, reaching Rp1,438.2 trillion last month. This represents 10.97% of the total market capitalization of the Indonesian stock exchange.

The market capitalization of the issuer owned by conglomerate Prajogo Pangestu increased by 24.28% month-on-month (mom) from Rp1,157.25 trillion in July 2024.

Second is PT Bank Central Asia Tbk (BBCA) with Rp1,260.08 trillion in August 2024, equivalent to 9.61% of the total. Its value increased slightly by 0.49% (mom) from Rp1,253.98 trillion in July 2024.

Excluding these two giant issuers, market capitalization values are below Rp900 trillion.

PT Chandra Asri Petrochemical Tbk (TPIA) ranks third with a value of Rp862.95 trillion in August 2024. This represents a 3.37% (mom) increase from the previous Rp834.83 trillion.

Fourth is PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia Tbk (BBRI) with a market value of Rp772.72 trillion, a 10.28% (mom) increase from Rp700.7 trillion in July 2024.

Fifth is PT Amman Mineral Internasional Tbk (AMMN) with a value of Rp772.31 trillion. This represents a 9.94% decrease (mom) from Rp857.52 trillion in July 2024.

This is followed by Bank Mandiri, Bayan Resources, and Astra International.
