10 Provinces with the Highest Number of Stunted Children (Under Two Years Old) in 2023

Children under two years old (toddlers or aged 0-23 months) in Papua Pegunungan experience the highest rates of stunting.

This is reflected in the high number of toddlers in the region who are short and very short.

Based on data from the Ministry of Health, more than a quarter or 26.5% of toddlers in Papua Pegunungan fall into the short and very short categories.

This proportion far exceeds the national average of 7.7% and is the highest among all provinces.
