The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) recorded 198 districts/cities with a seven-day aglomeration positivity rate above the national average, currently recorded at 5.5 percent (data as of Tuesday, October 18, 2022).
The top five districts/cities with a seven-day positivity rate exceeding 33.33 percent are Toli Toli, Mappi, South Bolaang Mongondow, Sangihe Islands, and North Kayong, with values of 57.89 percent, 50 percent, 44.44 percent, 34.88 percent, and 33.33 percent respectively.
A recapitulation of national Covid data from the Ministry of Health shows an increase in the seven-day positivity rate in most districts/cities outside Java. A daily seven-day positivity rate higher than the previous day was recorded in 160 districts/cities, while 110 districts/cities recorded a lower seven-day positivity rate.
Some of the areas outside Java with the highest seven-day positivity rates include Toli Toli, Mappi, and South Bolaang Mongondow, with seven-day positivity rates of 57.89 percent, 50 percent, and 44.44 percent respectively.
Although Covid-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce Covid-19 transmission by always wearing masks, maintaining distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
