The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) recorded 53 districts/cities with a Covid-19 death rate above the national average, currently recorded at 0.04 deaths per 100,000 population per week, data as of Monday, October 10, 2022.
The five districts/cities with the highest number of Covid-19 deaths, exceeding 0.84 deaths per 100,000 population per week, are Natuna (3.68 deaths per 100,000 population per week), Tomohon City (1.81 deaths per 100,000 population per week), Minahasa Tenggara (0.93 deaths per 100,000 population per week), Minahasa (0.87 deaths per 100,000 population per week), and Banggai Kepulauan (0.84 deaths per 100,000 population per week).
A recapitulation of national Covid-19 data from the Ministry of Health shows an increase in Covid-19 deaths in most districts/cities outside Java. Seven districts/cities recorded a higher daily number of Covid-19 deaths than before, while one district/city recorded a lower number.
Areas outside Java with the highest number of Covid-19 deaths include Natuna (3.68 deaths per 100,000 population per week), Tomohon City (1.81 deaths per 100,000 population per week), and Minahasa Tenggara (0.93 deaths per 100,000 population per week).
Although Covid-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce transmission by consistently wearing masks, maintaining physical distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
