The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) recorded 84 regencies/cities with weekly hospital inpatient use above the national average, currently recorded at 2.5 patients per 100,000 population/week, data as of Friday, November 4, 2022.
The five regencies/cities with the highest inpatient use, exceeding 14.27 patients per 100,000 population/week, are Kediri City, Yogyakarta City, Central Jakarta City, Surakarta City, and Banda Aceh City, with respective values of 20.14 patients per 100,000 population/week, 20 patients per 100,000 population/week, 16.09 patients per 100,000 population/week, 14.43 patients per 100,000 population/week, and 14.27 patients per 100,000 population/week, respectively.
A recapitulation of national Covid data from the Ministry of Health shows that inpatient use in most regencies/cities outside Java has decreased. A higher than previous daily inpatient use was recorded in 41 regencies/cities, while 52 regencies/cities recorded lower inpatient use.
Areas outside Java with the highest inpatient use include Banda Aceh City, Toli Toli, and Palu City, with respective inpatient use of 14.27 patients per 100,000 population/week, 12.05 patients per 100,000 population/week, and 8.15 patients per 100,000 population/week.
Although Covid-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce Covid-19 transmission by always wearing masks, maintaining distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
