The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) recorded 185 districts/cities with a seven-day aglomeration positivity rate above the national average, currently recorded at 4.42 percent (data as of Saturday, October 1, 2022).
The top five districts/cities with a seven-day positivity rate exceeding 28.57 percent are Banggai Kepulauan (32 percent), Maluku Barat Daya (30.77 percent), Sitaro (28.57 percent), Gayo Lues (28.57 percent), and Tana Tidung (28.57 percent).
A national Covid-19 data recapitulation from the Ministry of Health shows that the seven-day positivity rate in most districts/cities outside Java has decreased. A higher seven-day positivity rate compared to the previous day was recorded in 130 districts/cities, while 133 districts/cities recorded a lower seven-day positivity rate.
Some of the areas outside Java with the highest seven-day positivity rates include Banggai Kepulauan (32 percent), Maluku Barat Daya (30.77 percent), and Sitaro (28.57 percent).
Although Covid-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce Covid-19 transmission by consistently wearing masks, maintaining physical distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
