The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) recorded 98 districts/cities with a seven-day aglomeration positivity rate above the national average, currently recorded at 1.11 percent (data as of Friday, February 24, 2023).
The top five districts/cities with a seven-day positivity rate exceeding 18.75 percent are Paniai (100 percent), Kayong Utara (50 percent), Aceh Selatan (25 percent), Aceh Barat Daya (25 percent), and Temanggung (18.75 percent).
A recapitulation of national Covid-19 data from the Ministry of Health shows an increase in the seven-day positivity rate in most districts/cities outside Java. A higher seven-day positivity rate compared to the previous period was recorded in 44 districts/cities, while 21 districts/cities recorded a lower seven-day positivity rate.
Some of the areas outside Java with the highest seven-day positivity rates include Paniai (100 percent), Kayong Utara (50 percent), and Aceh Selatan (25 percent).
Although Covid-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce Covid-19 transmission by consistently wearing masks, maintaining physical distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
