The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) recorded 124 regencies/cities with a weekly confirmed positive Covid-19 case count above the national average, currently recorded at 7.14 per 100,000 population/week (data as of Saturday, November 12, 2022).
The top five regencies/cities with confirmed positive cases exceeding 88.71 per 100,000 population/week are Central Jakarta, South Jakarta, West Jakarta, North Jakarta, and East Jakarta, with respective values of 158.69, 133.98, 111.63, 101.33, and 88.71 per 100,000 population/week.
A national Covid-19 data recapitulation from the Ministry of Health shows an increase in confirmed positive cases in most regencies/cities outside Java. 116 regencies/cities recorded higher daily confirmed positive cases than before, while 99 regencies/cities recorded lower confirmed positive cases.
Areas outside Java with the highest confirmed positive case rates include Tana Tidung, Kutai Barat, and Balikpapan City, with confirmed positive cases of 84.62, 53.71, and 52.78 per 100,000 population/week, respectively.
Although Covid-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce Covid-19 transmission by consistently wearing masks, maintaining physical distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
