The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) recorded 88 regencies/cities with weekly hospital inpatient use above the national average, currently recorded at 3.02 patients per 100,000 population/week, data as of Monday, November 14, 2022.
The five regencies/cities with the highest inpatient use, with figures exceeding 14.62 patients per 100,000 population/week, are Yogyakarta City, Kediri City, Central Jakarta City, Mojokerto City, and Surakarta City, with respective values of 26.9 patients per 100,000 population/week, 24.58 patients per 100,000 population/week, 22.33 patients per 100,000 population/week, 21.96 patients per 100,000 population/week, and 14.62 patients per 100,000 population/week, respectively.
A recapitulation of national Covid data from the Ministry of Health shows an increase in inpatient use in most regencies/cities outside Java. A higher than previous daily inpatient use was recorded in 53 regencies/cities, while 46 regencies/cities recorded lower inpatient use.
Areas outside Java with the highest inpatient use include Mahakam Ulu, Sorong, and Bontang City, with respective inpatient use rates of 11.18 patients per 100,000 population/week, 9.37 patients per 100,000 population/week, and 9.17 patients per 100,000 population/week.
Although Covid-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce Covid-19 transmission by always wearing masks, maintaining distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
