The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) recorded 76 regencies/cities with a Covid-19 death rate above the national average, currently recorded at 0.04 deaths per 100,000 population per week, data as of Tuesday, October 25, 2022.
The top five regencies/cities with Covid-19 death rates exceeding 0.82 deaths per 100,000 population per week are Pakpak Bharat, Pariaman City, North Minahasa, West Bangka, and Magelang City, with respective rates of 1.9 deaths per 100,000 population per week, 1.08 deaths per 100,000 population per week, 0.98 deaths per 100,000 population per week, 0.93 deaths per 100,000 population per week, and 0.82 deaths per 100,000 population per week, respectively.
National Covid-19 data recapitulation from the Ministry of Health shows that the Covid-19 death rate in most regencies/cities outside Java has decreased. Three regencies/cities recorded higher daily Covid-19 death rates than before, while four regencies/cities recorded lower rates.
Areas outside Java with the highest Covid-19 death rates include Pakpak Bharat, Pariaman City, and North Minahasa, with respective death rates of 1.9 deaths per 100,000 population per week, 1.08 deaths per 100,000 population per week, and 0.98 deaths per 100,000 population per week.
Although Covid-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce transmission by consistently wearing masks, maintaining physical distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
