Top 10 Regencies/Cities with the Highest Confirmed Positive Cases Nationally (Sunday, February 19, 2023)

The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) recorded 134 districts/cities with a weekly agglomeration of confirmed positive Covid-19 cases above the national average, currently recorded at 0.19 per 100,000 population/week (data as of Sunday, February 19, 2023).

The top five districts/cities with confirmed positive cases exceeding 2.13 per 100,000 population/week are Lamandau, West Jakarta City, Kepulauan Seribu, Depok City, and Bogor City, each with 2.36, 2.13, 2.13, 2.13, and 2.13 per 100,000 population/week, respectively.

A recapitulation of national Covid-19 data from the Ministry of Health shows a decrease in confirmed positive cases in most districts/cities outside Java. Five districts/cities recorded higher daily confirmed positive cases than previously, while 19 districts/cities recorded lower confirmed positive cases.

Areas outside Java with the highest confirmed positive cases include Lamandau, Bangka Tengah, and Sintang, with 2.36, 1.99, and 1.61 per 100,000 population/week, respectively.

Although Covid-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce Covid-19 transmission by consistently wearing masks, maintaining physical distancing, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
